As of today, I’m back from my Italian sojourn. The plants have been watered. The cat is still alive. The bags will be unpacked. And I’m ready to pick back up on a steadier writing schedule.

For now, I’ve got two events to share (for those of you in the Baltimore area) and some more writing that has shown up in other places (for those of you who have been looking for my words).

• Book Signing: I’ll be at the Annapolis Barnes and Noble signing copies of “My Life with the Jedi: The Spirituality of Star Wars” on July 20 from 12 - 3 PM. Learn more and come hang out!

• Book Study: I’m heading back to one of my favorite Baltimore-based retreat centers, Well for the Journey, to lead an evening book study that same weekend (July 21, 6:30 - 8:30 PM) on that same book! Also, there will be wine and cheese. Sign up here!

• Ignatian Storytelling: I’ve found myself accidentally writing something of a reflective series arc over at “Now Discern This.” Check out part two of (at least) three parts on Ignatian storytelling. Click to read.

• Read an Excerpt: The McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame published an adapted version of the afterword from “My Life with the Jedi: The Spirituality of Star Wars.” If you’ve read the book, you know this is where I tackle the question (paradox?) of peace in a saga all about (star) wars. Give it a read.
